Fall is a good time
to clear blackberries.

Blackberry is a valley fact of life. Clearing it at the end of the growing season makes the job easier to plan, and it gives you a head start on next spring’s regrowth.

Why fall works

  • Everything is visible. With the season’s growth done, you can see the true edges and canes, fence lines and what’s hiding underneath.
  • It’s fire-season-over. Once the dry season ends, mowing and cutting carry less ignition risk. Check current restrictions first.
  • You get ahead of spring. Clear now, and next year’s regrowth hits a cleaner property.

What we do

We cut and mulch blackberry, scotch broom and brush with the skid-steer brush cutter, and where roots are the problem we dig them out with the mini excavator. See what brush clearing actually is and our brush clearing service page. In the Corvallis area, see blackberry removal in Corvallis.

Expect regrowth

Cutting blackberry doesn’t kill it. Runners and root crowns come back, so the real work is follow-up: a pass or two the next growing season keeps it from taking over again. That’s why many customers set it up as a yearly job. See land management.

What drives the cost

  • Density and height of the brush.
  • Terrain and access: slopes, wet ground and tight spots.
  • Whether roots need digging, not just cutting.
  • Hauling, if material has to leave the property.
  • Follow-up passes.

Typical ranges are on our pricing page, and how much land clearing costs in Oregon breaks down the factors.

What to send us

Photos from a couple of angles, the rough size, and what you want it to look like when it’s done: pasture, building site or just under control.
