Grading & Leveling in Lebanon, Oregon —
Driveways, Pads & Yards
Grading is the difference between a surface that lasts and a surface that washes out. We grade driveways, building pads, yards, and pastures with a box grader on the skid steer — precise enough for a pad, fast enough for an acre.
Grading & Leveling
Boring. Essential.
Done right.
Grading isn't glamorous, but it's the single most important step on most of our jobs. A pad that's out of level cracks slabs. A driveway without a crown holds water and turns to soup. A yard that slopes toward the house ends up in the crawlspace. We fix all of it.
What we grade
- Driveways. Crown them so water sheds, not pools.
- Building pads. Shop, barn, garage, and RV pads — flat, compacted, drained.
- Yards. Fix slopes that push water toward the house or shop.
- Pasture prep. Smooth out animal wear, ruts, and old pivot lines.
- Parking areas. Crushed rock parking for equipment, trailers, and vehicles.
Our approach
We don't just push dirt around. Every grading job starts with figuring out where the water needs to go, and we shape the surface to move it there. If the site needs fill, we tell you how much and where it'll come from. If compaction matters (it usually does for pads), we roll it and compact it before we call it done.

Grading rarely goes alone.

FAQ
Common questions about grading.
Will the grade hold up to winter rain?
That's the test. We crown surfaces so water sheds, compact in lifts, and add a base of crushed rock where soil or slope demands it. A surface that sheds water lasts. A flat one doesn't.
Do you bring the gravel and base material?
Usually yes — we source from local valley pits and add it to the quote. You're welcome to source your own and have it stockpiled before we start; we'll tell you what spec to order.
Can you grade a slope so it'll grow grass?
Yes, with caveats. Slopes steeper than about 3:1 won't hold seed without help — matting, hydro-seed, or terracing. We grade to a profile that's plantable and tell you straight if you'll need erosion control after.
How long does a typical grading job take?
A driveway regrade: half a day to a day. A building pad: 1–3 days depending on cut and fill. A whole-lot regrade: project quote.
